Series 1 - Final Day:
6.45am . . . 95 @ 12 -16 . . . were in for that dreaded easterly for awhile . . . then the forcast is threatening a seabreeze later . . . when it feels like it.
At least someone took the bumps out of the ocean last nite!
A bit of a wait for the seabreeze . . . saw an attempt to use the easterly . . . by race time it had faded away to almost nothing . . . A GOOD SIGN! . . . the seabreeze should be in earlier!
Up anchour & downwind for a mile & 1/2 & a start in a building seabreeze by 11.30 . . . 18 KTS half way thru & it was on again!
Two more races in 18 to 20 with a building sea provided lots of action @ the mark roundings . . . & that's it for Series One.
And . . . the results are . . . HERE
Congratulations to all the winners!!!!
And some great pics from Jo Cronin . . . (his son sailed with Fish) . . . (taken from the start line with his big sucker lens that I want) . . . HERE . . . & . . . HERE
Series 1 - Day 2:
6am . . . 220 @ 22 to 26 . . . in the carpark!
Racing close to shore . . . 15 to 22 knots . . . sunny & hot & no flies!!! . . . 22 to 30 out wide . . . sunny & hot & also no flies!!! . . . 4 great races . . . places start to get sorted!
In the Youth H16's . . . Victorians Chris & James Wierzbowski hold a 2 point lead over joint 2nd place teams . . . WA's Alex Landwehr/Jason Dobson & Qld's Brendan Effeney/Nick Sommerfield.
The three WA Women's Teams have only a 5 point spread . . . with Emma Sturgeon & Josie Mark leading the pack.
Robbie Lovig & Lachlan Gibson lead the Tigers on a countback from Taylor Booth & Ryan Duffield . . . despite Booth's acrobatic efforts @ the second last gate rounding in race 5.
Kerli & Ali Corlett in the Fossil Cup & Anthony Duchatel & Ejay Schaffer in the Masters (both from the Pittwater Catamaran Club) . . . hold the lead in the 'Old Fart' divisions!
Excellent racing . . . but . . . A tough day on the water for some . . .

The Hands of Tog
Full Results HERE . . . couple of protests pending. (1830 WA time . . . wind @ 200 . . . 18 -26 kts)
Lets ease into this thing . . . .
A lite SE breeze tempted the RC into one race @ 11.30 . . . then back to the beach for an extended lunch.
The seabreeze finally came in . . . race 2 @ 3.20 . . . then a back 2 back which failed miserably . . . when the wind went away!
Towing 101 & all boats back on shore . . . shortly after 6pm . . . fortunately the club extended happy hour . . . now off to Hoggies!
(It's 8.30 pm . . . wind??? . . . 260 @ 18 to 24 . . . tough day coming up tomorrow!!!)
